A brachioplasty (alternatively referred to as an arm lift procedure) is a surgical method used to lessen the appearance of flabby skin and extra fat in the upper arm area. When a person ages, the skin in this area can be seen to droop and loosen, while the underlying muscle and bone can thin, adding to the sagging appearance. A brachioplasty procedure can help by lifting and tightening the drooping tissue.

Many of out of town patients have their initial physical exam and consultation immediately prior to scheduled surgery. During this consultation, the doctors will discuss the surgery in full detail.

A brachioplasty is a surgical procedure used to take away extra fat and skin in the upper arms.  The skin in this area commonly loosens with age.  Liposuction and an arm lift, either separately or together, can improve the look of a patient’s upper arms.

The intended results of this procedure are to reduce the appearance of excess skin and fat in the upper arm area

  The Procedure

Brachioplasty, also known as arm reduction surgery, can take care of this problem. The success of the procedure often depends on how much excess tissue there is, and how much the anchoring system has already begun to sag.

During this procedure, an incision is made in the inner arm and excess skin is removed. The incision is usually placed in an area where the remaining arm tissue can be easily and effectively tightened, and where the scar can be hidden easily.

  Why get a brachioplasty?

-You wish for an improvement in appearance and smooth, firmly sculpted upper arms.
-You have noticeably sagging skin and excess fat in the upper arm area.

-You have excess folds of skin and extra fat in the upper chest area near the armpit, particularly evident when the arms are in a resting position at the sides.

  Recovering After Surgery.

Most patients require heavy bandaging in the arm area to protect the incisions after the procedure.  Patients must limit lifting and elevate the arms with pillows to alleviate discomfort.  Most patients resume their usual activities within two to three weeks, but should not perform heavy lifting for up to 6 weeks after the procedure.

In our Surgical Center compare to number of other Surgical Center we prefer  General Anesthesia , in which case you'll sleep through the entire operation and do not feel any pain.
