Round implant is a type of breast implant.
Breast implantation is generally done for enlarging the size of the human breast. Sometimes the breast implantation is also done for reconstructing the shape and size of the breast. This process of breast implantation is also called as breast augmentation or breast enlargement. It is observed by the American society of plastic that the breast augmentation is the third most commonly done cosmetic surgery.
There are basically two types of breast implants namely the Saline implant and other is the silicone gel. This classification is dependent on the material type that is filled in the Implant. According to the size and shape of the implant it is classified as the round implant and the anatomical implant.
Of the two implants that is the anatomical and the round implant the round implant is the most common type of implant. The shape of the round type of breast implant is same as that of the flattened sphere. There are certain types of round implants that can also enhance the forward projection of the breast. These type of breast implant provides a largest amount of lift, fullness, and cleavage. There are some patients that do not go for the round type of breast implant because they fill that it gives a artificial look rather than natural.

The round type of implant generally comes in a smooth and textured form. They are also available in different styles such as high profile, medium profile and low profile. There is actually not much difference between anatomical breast and round breast. This is because even though you fill the shape to be round when held in your hand but when held vertically it looks same as that of the anatomical.
The size of the round breast must be discussed perfectly with your surgeon. Because if the size is not properly discussed with the surgeon the breast implant can move inside the breast packet and then that can not look good. But one important thing about the round implant is that they are easier to position as compared to the anatomical implants. This is because of their uniform size in a perfect round. |
